A message from the creator...

In 2017 I set up The Vivit Experience which was tremendously received across the country amongst students and universities alike. Following two busy years of being invited into universities to work with students I embarked on taking part in BBC Dragons Den, with big ambitions to spread hands on learning. With a successful offer and two of the UK’s leading dragons on board what was to follow would hopefully be a life changing opportunity. In reality it became a living nightmare.

The 2020 Covid pandemic slammed the handbrakes on a rapidly growing entity that was vulnerable on all fronts to government lockdowns. For 18 months our doors were shuttered, events cancelled and a huge refund bill. Overnight the business was plunged into almost £1 million pounds worth of debt. Upon lifting of restrictions there was a resurgence, but this quickly became clouded by labour shortages, supply chain pressures and soaring costs. In an attempt to diversify the business and with the full support from the Dragon investors I launched other projects, however chasing debt repayments left the business with no resilience and unable to weather the wave after wave of pressures thrown at us. In hindsight the fate of the business was sealed upon the announcement of lockdown measures on the 23th March 2020.

In September 2024 and after 4 years of battling on I called time and was left with no option but to close the doors. Having given 10 years of my life, never taking a dividend and in the last 12 months not taking my salary I simply couldn’t keep the company going. In the lead up to the closure we had relentlessly negotiated payment plans and as of July 2024 all supplier accounts were paid in full and on time. As a company we were frequently inspected, were fully compliant and passed all routine inspections to the highest of standards. Through the initial closure, the directors and I diligently followed the directors code and the liquidators have my full support and cooperation in the final stages of the closure. I do however recognise the damage and losses to people and organisations who have suffered due to the closure of the former company and to those who were affected I am truly sorry. Following the closure of the business I have been the subject of dozens of unfounded accusations, threats of violence towards me and my family, creditors visiting my property attempting to break into my home and unfounded accusations in the local press, all of which is untrue, unsubstantiated and I completely refute. It is important that you know that all that could be done was done to try to save the business, there was no malice or wrong doing and that there was nobody more devastated about the closure than me.

Ultimately I am passionate about what I do. I have a genuine love for learning and sharing the intricacies of the human body with people through hands on dissection. For years I have dominated this space and due to its operational complexities, specific regulation and supply chains it’s near impossible for somebody else to just step in and pick up where I left off. And so, having had 6 months to reflect, I have decided to once again lead the charge in touring live anatomy workshops through hands on dissection and ensure that the healthcare professionals of the future are not denied this incredible learning experience.

Using state of art human cadaver part-synthetics (that I originally pioneered) I am now taking my live experiences back on the road to students once more. Inside the Cadaver Lab is a new and revamped 3 hour live and interactive demonstration of a part-synthetic human cadaver dissection blended with hands on dissection of real organs pitched exclusively at under graduate level. My sessions are available on campus at select universities strategically across the country and I will be adding more to my current tour.

Students enrolled on courses at the host university, at local and neighbouring universities as well as current registered healthcare professionals working in the NHS are encouraged to attend.

These experiences are exclusively for students and NHS professionals working in the NHS and are not open to the public.

I sincerely thank you for your understanding and appreciation in what has been a difficult few years and hope to welcome you to a hands on learning event at a university near you soon.
